Saffron Indian Cuisine - Bathurst

We have eaten at Saffron many times, while We have tried the other Indian restaurants in town We believe this is the best. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere and is easily accessible with parking right outside the door always available in the evenings. The menu is extensive, having all the common choices as well as more original choices. Service is great. We were welcomed promptly, our order taken when we were ready, and the food arrived super fast. I love their saffron infused rice. Serves are generous and ideal to be shared with friends so that each gets to experience a range of aromatic flavours. Meals are very reasonably priced and the restaurant is BYO.Highly recommended. We will continue to return.

Fresh TASTY food at a moderate price and caters for Vegetarians as well as GLUTEN FREE people. Very clean and good decor friendly service with medium servings of food and fresh PARATHAs are great as well as chicken BIRIYANI. Worth a visit and you are sure to go back again.

Had a bad meal a couple of years ago. Gave the Saffron another try, Glad we did as the food is excellent. Great service reasonably priced. Wonderful spicy aromatic flavors,cooked to your "Heat" level the most tender meat and seafood, some of the best Naan bread you will ever try. $60 for 1 entree two mains, rice and two different naan breads a bargain you cant go wrong. Highly recommended.

We had 3 dishes, rice, nan bread, salad and yoghurt - 3 people $60.And it was very high quality Indian food. Favourite was the spicy lamb biryani but it was all fresh and very good. The service was helpful and very prompt. For me by far the best Indian west of Sydney.
