Benjarong Thai Restaurant - Bathurst

A beloved restaurant in Bathurst, Benjarong Thai has been a staple in the community for 25-30 years. Unfortunately, they closed their doors on February 27, 2016. However, there is hope that the closure is only temporary, as a sign indicates they are waiting for new owners. The future of the restaurant remains uncertain, including whether it will keep the Benjarong Thai name or continue as a Thai restaurant. For many older locals, Benjarong Thai was a favourite spot and we hope the new owners can maintain the good Thai tradition and uphold its reputation in Bathurst.

The meal was a bit disappointing. Although mine was quite large, it didn't have any vegetables in it, which I was anticipating.

We have never have had a bad meal in the 7 years of living in Bathurst. Benjarong is our go to Thai restaurant. The service is quick, the staff are friendly and food is always excellent.

We have been to 'The Ben' several times and never had a bad meal. All of their food is very good and the servings are good. The only minus is that it can be hard to get a seat.

Whilst it's not the best Thai I've ever had, it's still a place I've gone back to quite a few times, the food is good and the service is just the same. Pleasant and happy to joke around. I've tried numerous dishes and they have all been decent. Like I said, it's not a 5 star restaurant. But for a regional town doing Thai, it's pretty good.
