Acero - Basel

Takeaway icecream from Acero Eiscafe (distinctive building with metal ants on the exterior) and right off the Rhine so you can eat them next to the river. Believe they make it themselves good range of flavours (apricot, walnut, mango, panacotta and a bright blue bubblegum) all went down well and good size portions in a waffle cone 4 CHF small 6 CHF medium 9 CHF large. Vegan ice cream also available.

When I got to Acero, I was excited about the flavors that included vegan rum and caramel crunch. The gelato was really yummy. However, the cone was tiny and had little gelato in it. This was really a disappointment, especially for CHF 4. A normal cone would have cost CHF 6- which seems like quite a bit for a takeaway gelato stand.

Das Eis ist unglaublich gut und für Basler Verhältnisse eher günstig. Bei schönem Wetter muss sich aber auf längere Wartezeiten einstellen.
