The Oven Mitt - Barbourville

I always look forward to breakfast at the Baked Stove in the mornings. However, today I was disappointed to find it closed. There aren't many things to be happy about in this city, but enjoying a meal at this restaurant brings me joy, especially on Saturday mornings. I'm not sure why they were closed, but it really let me down. You are a bright spot in my week, and when I can’t dine at your establishment, it feels like my day is dimmed. I truly love this place!

The food did not meet my expectations. The hamburger and coleslaw were quite disappointing. The coleslaw tasted like it was store-bought, and the burgers were pre-packaged patties from Walmart.

This charming country restaurant is a hidden gem! I tried the chicken salad sandwich, and it was fantastic. It was served on perfectly grilled bread, and the fries were excellent too. My husband opted for the chopped steak and baked potato, and he loved it as well. The potato was a generous size and fully loaded. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Plus, they had gospel music playing in the background, which I found really pleasant. If you're in Barbourville, this place is a definite must-visit!

I would recommend everyone to eat here. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent.
