La Saladilla Beach Club - Barahona

- quaint place. steps to the beautiful blue water beach. the beach could have some cleaning of washed rubbish and seems to clean it. very nice clean pool. room well maintained, air conditioned and also fans. they offer a beautiful cultural-typical Dominican breakfast. the staff is friendly and helpful. the floor crew will even wash their car if it requires for the cost of an optional drink. close to the center of barahona picturesquecon restaurants, shops and shops.

Disappointing. Locked up and lit up like you are in prison. Electric fence, no beach access from the hotel. The front desk staff was aloof, unfriendly and not helpful. Beds are firm and comfortable however. This is a gorgeous side of the island, but stay somewhere else.

Excessive exterior lighting.. can't see the stars due to the light pollution... And this is the only place on this strip.of coast. No beach access... No breakfast, coffee,bar, ... Room curtains don't even block the horrible lights. There is a much nicer place called playa azul. It's another 5km.. but so.much nicer...
