Oasi Giallo Verde - Banzi

Un luogo dove ci si sente a casa con una cucina sincera, senza fronzoli e con un gusto eccezionale. Niente da dire, quello che ti aspetti di mangiare quando torni a casa al Sud. A questo deve essere aggiunto la simpatia e la cordialità del proprietario che da solo gestisce la camera e la cucina. Il disegno di legge vi invita ogni giorno! davvero una bella scoperta

You have to ring the bell to get in. It almost looks closed, but it is open and has terrific food. No Menu, they tell you what they have. Excellent pasta and other dishes. Very nice service. Wonderful to sit on their outside enclosed patio. Good house wine, very reasonable prices.

The owner received us with a huge smile. The food was really really good. The only bad thing is that there is no menu where you can see the differents dishes or the prices. But apart from that is perfect!

On our first night in the Mezzogiorno we found the Oasi Giallo Verde di Galella Donato at Via D’Annunzio 23 Melfi, Basilicata. The experience was, in a word, charming, in every respect. The pasta with mozzarella slices, the dolce of cassata and chocolate, the caffe and the limoncello together with the kindly attention shown us by the restaurateur ‘Genaro’, together conspired in the most delicate manner possible to usher in a magnificent 24 days in South Italy. Of course the wine, as everywhere in the south was superb. Recommend the Trattoria unreservedly.

Il patron-cuoco Donato dell 'Oasi giallo verde è un vero signore e come tale un grande cuoco che sa offrire ai graditi ospiti del ristorante una cucina vera senza fronzoli dove la tradizione lucana si sposa con la delicatezza degli ingredienti. Bravo chapeau !!
