Suwan Thai Restaurant - Banyule

We have had takeaway many times and on occasion dined in the restaurant. The food is always consistent with good quality fresh ingredients. Definitely recommend.

Had dinner tonight for Wedding Anniversary at Suwan Thai, my 1st visit. Shared entrees of spring rolls, curry puffs, fried tofu vegetables. Main we shared a pad Thai Puk and coconut rice. Service was attentive without being intrusive, staff very friendly and polite. Food was excellent, fresh, well cooked and presented. Glad we chose this venue for our special occasion and this will not be the last time we visit, the best Thai I have found in the area.

Over the phone, recently ordered a takeaway from Suwan Thai Restaurant for four people. All meals ordered were very nice. One meal being the Red Duck Curry $19.50. Mentioned whilst on the phone placing our order, on a previous occasion there was very little duck but plenty of duck skin with no meat attached. On picking up the order, noticed an extra $1 on the bill. Was told for the extra duck. When back home, no difference in the meal, plenty of skin and not very much duck, LOL. Pity, the juices of the Red Duck Curry are exceptional, but please, bit more duck!!!

Due to COVID it was in home dining. We really enjoyed our meal it was really flavoursome, really hot when we got it home and generous servings. I am not usually keen on take away Thai but this was delicious.

We are a family of five who have been coming to this restaurant for many years. The food is excellent quality, great value, and good quality. We hope to continue coming back for many years to come :
