Toppings on the padthais were exquisitely cooked but the noodles were overcooked and got sticky together. Service was attentive but the open structure took all the heat from outside and I felt very hot.
Pass by this beautiful restaurant and amazed by their continuous four years of Michilin Star awarded. Decided to book a dinner slot. First, their restaurant decorations was beautiful and very well set-up by old times furniture. The dinning mood was great. For their dishes, particularly want to highlight the starter: Miang Khana. It was a do it yourself young kale leaves with chicken and pork crackling, served with salty sweet shrimp paste sauce. It was very interesting eating experience, kale leaves was fresh and raw, but wrapped with the ingredients and sauce, one whole piece in the mouth was a amazing, not consider delicious but very fresh and healthy. Worth a try. Their main dish: Phad Thai Poo. A stir fry rice noodles with eggs, peanut, bean spouts, tofu, garlic shive, dried shrimp, crab juice, tamarind sauce and blue crab meat. It was lots of ingredients especially they added the crab meat, taste was okay, not amazing actually, especially they awarded with Michilin stars for so many years. Felt slightly disappointed, b'cos Phad Thai was not a surprise to me, I had even better one in Bangkok. The most satisfying dishes for. Me was the traditional grilled Marinate Pork served with spicy roasted rice homemade dipping sauce, called Moo Yang. The grilled pork was so soft and tender, flavourful and very delicious even without the dipping sauce. Overall, a worthy try if you like something unusual from Thai cuisine.
Having been here before, I agree to the positive comments as below. However today, the Phat Thai (vegan had no taste, with soggy (elastic kind noodles (even having specifically ordered ‘dry’ and it had a very bitter taste. I simply could not finish it. Disappointed and will have to think twice to return or not.
It's a no-go for me. I'm so disappointed. I'm not really sure how it managed to obtain Michelin recommendation. if you are familiar with Phad Thai, i am very sure you have tasted better ones elsewhere. even some roadside stalls. all pricing is on the high side. ordered the signature crab Phad Thai and fried tofu. the tofu came pretty quickly, and this is the only consolation to me in terms of taste and speed. the crab phad thai took 45 minutes to arrive for me despite multiple reminders, and i keep on seeing other tables getting theirs. worst, the next table who came 30 minutes later compared to me got his prawn phad thai. will never go again
The Pad Thai here is not bad but may not be worth the premium prices. What I like is it's not overly sweet like some places. Some may find it bland but there's plenty of condiments at the table for you to add. I like the grilled chicken which was very tasty but the crab meat for the crab pad thai was too little. Som Tam was also good and it comes with salted egg and you can add grilled pork. The best thing is the shop itself which you can see is quite nice.
