Vito's Pizzeria - Bancroft

The best pizza I've ever tasted! SeriouslyAlso I highly recommend the Caesars salad Great staffWe had Kimberley and she was very friendly.

Fast, friendly service. Great menu selections. Large portions. The mushroom with crab appetizer was delicious and a meal all on it's own! Will always be a favourite stop when in Bancroft.

Stopped by to have lunch with hubby. We have previously ordered take-out pizza and very much enjoyed it (pricey but worth it).Thinking that the menu would be truly Italian and fresh as their pizza , we were not impressed . Hubby ordered the Alfredo pasta, it was blah! I ordered the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti . Spaghetti ( from a box), meat sauce nothing to brag about, chicken was dried and the Marina sauce on top of the chicken super salty. Also, I giggle when I saw fries and coslaw with it ( very out of place) I would have preferred that they offered a side salad ... price of my meal $18 . I get that it's a touristic ( seasonal) place and they hike up the prices to make a living but Waow...! Expected quality and did not get it. If we go back we will stick to only ordering pizza ...

I went to Vito's and we ordered the pizza. First of all there is no sausage topping on the pizza which to us was really strange. I noticed all the good reviews on the pizza, so my take is that we might be picky because we make our own pizza, and frequent many excellent pizzerias where we live. To tell the truth this was one of the worse pizzas I've ever had. Well the meal that day didn't seem bad since our server (the younger one with long blonde hair) was super nice and told us about lots of interesting places to go in the area. She urged us to come back the next day, and I do think the main reason we came back was to tell the waitress what a good time we had at one of the places she suggested.So we come in the next day, and we were disappointed to be seated with a different server. I decided to order a Greek meal this time (chicken souvlaki), and it was better than the pizza. I was horrified though when I received my food and everything salad, chicken, fries were all thrown together on a medium size oval dish. I questioned right away that everything was on one plate, and the server (short hair glasses) was so rude and replied that's how it's served on one plate as she abruptly walked away. I tried calling her back so I could ask for another plate, and I was ignored so I used the bread plate for my fries and chicken. After that she served other tables ignoring us, and when she did come over would only ask my husband if he needed anything else. She was so rude, but I would never not tip someone even though she was very cruel...not friendly at all. Quite disappointing, and it ruined what was a wonderful day..very bummed out after leaving. The other nice waitress never acknowledged us at all, and didn't even say "Hello" and she was the reason we came back in. We were both so hurt by the two servers. What an awful experience. This was by far the worse treatment I've ever had in a restaurant.
