Naka Naka Japanese Restaurant And Sake Bar

I had the chance to try this restaurant through Uber Eats and I was really pleased with their menu! I ordered the tempura chicken soba noodle salad, which was delicious. The noodles were soft, the chicken was tender, and the broth had great flavor. Next time, I want to try their bento box, as they look fantastic!

I've ordered takeout several times and recently enjoyed a meal inside the restaurant. The bentos are delicious and offer excellent value for money. The service is friendly and quick.

We ordered two bento boxes and an udon noodle dish, along with some karaage chicken. Everything was served promptly. The bento boxes were quite substantial. The teriyaki chicken was on the salty side, so it paired best with the rice. The udon had a wonderful texture, and the beef portion was generous and tasty. We also enjoyed the miso soup. However, with only one server for the entire restaurant, I can't help but wonder how she would manage during a busy night! Previously, while exploring dining options in Balwyn, we discovered Naka Naka on a Sunday afternoon. We received a warm welcome and were seated right away. The menu was extensive without feeling overwhelming, featuring all the classic dishes. They even offered a selection of small plates for a tapas-style experience. For our appetizer, we tried the takoyaki balls, which were warm, delicious, and served atop a rich teriyaki sauce. The karaage chicken was perfectly seasoned, crispy, and flavorful. The bento box was packed with a variety of items, but the renkon chips were definitely the standout. The service was efficient, and the prices were reasonable. We’ll be sure to return!

Me and my partner ordered a Teriyaki Udon and a chicken karaage bento box. The udon is nice and flavourful of miso and seaweed soup accompanied with some teriyaki chicken served on another plate, the chicken was a little salty but goes very well to the udon noodles and soup! It’s savoury and just satisfied my cravings. The karaage box was great, the batter was perfect with a hint of curry! How interesting! The Bento side dishes were generous and good! Pleasant experience over all. The downside is they don’t serve ramen anymore.

Decided to drop by for dinner with friends a couple of weeks ago to get a local sushi fix!Overall the fish tasted fresh and the flavours were definitely there. They are a teeny bit generous with the rice however the flavours of the fish and sauces made up for it.Only comment I could make is that they were definitely understaffed as tables were left haphazard, a lot of customers were waiting to order/pay/ they struggled to answer the phones.
