With friends we visited this hotel restaurant after a walk away. Nice restaurant, extensive map and plentiful portions. However, you cannot expect a gourmet temple here.

Service is very eager for the beverage delivery.... Eating was OK, one was forgotten when the meat was almost raw. To pay individually in a group of 13 people each had to pay to the front to the cashier. According to the hangout Mastercard possible, actually prefer only EC Naja, bottom line... so lala the whole

We were there to some people, and at everyone there was something about eating not right some had problems with the stomach the next day.

We stayed for a weekend in Balve and at the Hotel Haus Padberg. The rooms were sparsely furnished, but as far as perfectly good and sufficient for two people. The room and the bathroom were also in a clean condition. However, there were many small things that I found very disturbing and eventually dragged me to the evaluation. I am certainly no one who pays attention to everything, but in total it was too many things that do not justify the price of 80 euros (double room). Starting with opening the access door to the stairway was so difficult that my girlfriend couldn't open it on his own and the stairwell itself resembled a raw building. In the bathroom there was unfortunately no shower curtain shower wall, so with every shower not only the entire bathroom was under water, but the water also floats into the bedroom. What was spent there as a toilet paper reminded me more of the toilet on a highway grid than that in a hotel. It was tried without knocking in the room (probably to make beds in (morning at 9 a.m.) and the breakfast, which was made for 10 a.m., was already far before the time it was made on the table. Including the coffee that was not kept warm in a thermospot, but in a small box and therefore was only lukewarm at 10 am. After complaining, only a new coffee was cooked again (which was only half as much then). At the rest of the breakfast it unfortunately looked similar, packed sausage (which was probably open for a few hours and only covered with freshening foil), rolls that felt like they were softened and an O juice that tasted more like chemistry than after juice. When paying, you only wanted to accept cash until I insisted on paying with card. To this end, however, only the boss had to come, which had to appear about 20 minutes. There was a receipt at least (although probably more reluctantly. All in all, I even give 2 points here, as the food we had eaten on the first evening on arrival was very rich and good average at pleasant prices. If you just want to go to eat there you can make it a bit dry when you can get to the main road or the regular public. I would not recommend the hotel services (at the price). If the double room had cost 40 or 50 euros it would not have come to the review of me at all, but 80 euros is definitely not worth it, it would be easy to do the points I mentioned satisfactorily.

Good kitchen, nice atmosphere. You can also stay overnight, but I can't say anything about that. 3 nice cones
