La Gourmandise St. Regis Bal Harbour

This tee was disappointing. the eating display and the setup were nice. the “restaurant” is located in the hotel lobby. the people who just arrived went in and out, stopped to watch our food while all the cases rolled around. it is unpleasant to eat while you are being observed and people go through pullovers and training clothes. the room that would be nice on a sunny day was so cold because of the weather outside. it was uncomfortable and our tee was halfway cold through the meal. a room with actual temperature control would be helpful and can be a warming plate for the tee. the eating was good, and the server were pleasant, but the service was slow- they were too busy making coffee etc. for the people arriving in the hotel. they also held a 20% tip appropriate without having to get an option. for the price was not worth it. a good unique experience.

After I was in a series of high-end hotels, including other st regis sites, on the afternoon tees, I was disappointed by my experience last week. the tea service hosts were very attentive and the tea menu was good, but the location within the hotel where they serve tee is simply terrible. we sat in an area of the lobby opposite a bakery terminal and near the door where the hotel guests come and out of the pool area. it is only not in agreement with a reasonable atmosphere when most people with tee celebrate a special occasion. I hope they rethink, tee in their lounge (which is not open for bar service earlier on the day) or another location in the hotel.

Excellent sandwiches and scones. Pastries are a little bit sweeter than we prefer. Outstanding service Mihaela is a really great host! We will definitely be back!

I went with a friend to the afternoon tea as part of a girls weekend. Each bite was more delicious and beautiful than the last and Petrov was an absolute delight.
