Rice Bowl - Bakersfield

My husband called over the phone and made our order. I picked it up about 20 minutes later. I wasn't home when he made the order so I was not sure what he got. When I got home he checked the order and it was half wrong. When he called over the phone to let them know about the mistake, the woman who answered was the same woman who toke the order and all she did was tell him he was wrong. She was very rude and argumentative, she did not try to clear things up and when we asked to speak to the manager she said he would have to call us back. We have been ordering from the Rice Bowl for about 10 years and were great customers, but the last couple times we have ordered it has been wrong; this was the first time we ever called to let them know because it was a pretty big mix up. And when you pay for things and don't get them, it’s pretty annoying. I have been in customer service for about 8 years and this was not customer service. I feel that she should get in some type of trouble for the way she presented herself and the restaurant. Nobody wants to go where the service is horrible. Thanks for listening.

Been going there 50 plus years, yeah they changed owners, but a new large menu, but still a better value then the rude manager experence at Bill Lees next store.

We placed are order on the phone like we always do. And they always mess up. When we get the food there is hardly any meat in the spice beef dinner more vegs then meat. And it tasted spoiled. We call to talk to manager, but was told he would have to call us back,.

Great place for family and friends, there is a great choice of variety. and eating tastes great!

I've been here for years. always loved everything. but the experience last night(and it was my birthday) was terrible. what made it worse, was the person who helped us last night with our party of 15 the owner. he was rude, made it a problem when we wanted separate controls. they put us in the banquet room that we did not demand, and it was so hot back there. we have mixed our orders and drinks. Remember, there were some people there for the first time and having a bad experience, it was embarrassing because I was about what was good. but what was even worse is today when my son-in-law went to eat his rest, there was a piece of metal in the rice. It looks like it came out of steel wool if I showed it. I will report to public health. I'm so sad.
