Bj's Brewhouse - Bakersfield

We chose to celebrate two birthdays on Easter Sunday at BJ’s. I was expecting it to be crowded, but when we arrived around 3pm, the early crowd had left and the dinner rush had not yet arrived. This made it a great time to dine, as there was hardly any wait. Every dish that the seven of us ordered was delicious, served promptly, and our server was delightful. We were very pleased with our experience at BJ’s.

I tried contacting the restaurant about my order, but received no response. So, I will leave an honest review instead. I ordered a mini pizza and parmesan chicken with broccoli, along with a side of dessert. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, the pizza had one side that was just plain bread, with no cheese or toppings - it was terrible. It was clear that whoever baked it didn't care at all. As I was halfway through eating my broccoli, I discovered a bug in it. It was absolutely disgusting! How hard is it to properly wash vegetables? Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant, especially after paying over fifty dollars for such poor quality food.

This visit was okay. The service was good initially, starting off as a 10/10 but dropping to a 3/10 by the end of the night. It took a while to get the bill and to-go boxes. The food was decent, maybe a 7/10. Overall, I would give this location 3.5 out of 5 stars.

We had an awesome server named Liz. She was very sweet and pleasant. We had our one year old grandbaby and they brought him a complimentary plate with fruit and garlic bread. The food was great and the service from the hostess to the manager to the servers was on point! Great ambiance! We will be back!

We had the best service tonight! Liz was absolutely amazing! She requested that they bring out complimentary fruit and bread roll for my little one which he ate all of it! And she was very attentive to our whole table. The food was also really good!
