Bundschu - Bad Mergentheim

We had dinner at the restaurant bundschu, while we were also in their hotel. I would recommend to everyone to make the trip to the restaurant. it is fine eating to affordable trips, so while in bad mergentheim, you should try definitiw this restaurant. you won't... we had vitello tonato each, my partner had mais fed chicken and I had the vegan dish with vegetables on a rösti and we had 2 glasses white wine each, which at 70 eur. very reasonable for this type of quality.

The service and eating are exceptional. the breakfasts were very good with a large selection of hot and cold meals as well as fresh baked and fruit. the evening meal was excellent with daily specials and a competent staff to help with the selection.

I have stayed some paints in the hotel over the years and the staff always makes them welcome. I recently ate in restaurant for a second time and eating was excellent. I don't know what it's about salate in gemrmany, though she. are always better than the united kingdom. when I love eating Germany and when I went in rom for the spitzel in a mushroom sauce with spatzle and certainly not disappointed. quality eat well cooked. Eat was excellent and I would eat here definitiw again.

My daughter and I were told by some doctors in the city that this was a good place to eat. it was our last night in bad mergentheim, and we were thrilled to taste this restaurant. it is connected to the ringhotel bundschu and the atmosphere was good. we were greeted by ralf at the entrance of the restaurant. As soon as we greeted him in English, he immediately told us that there would be no available tables for us tonight. I asked if we could put our name on a waiting list and he told us how busy the restaurant was and even the terrace was busy and there was also no place for us. it was a Friday night at 20:00 clock and while people were mingling and eating, we could see that it wasn't burst and didn't think it was so full. all the time he said this dinge, he had this smirk on his face and we thought he was going around with us. So I mentioned how they admire us, I can't say if they are serious or not. then he answered, I am so serious that we are full. I then asked if he was from here and if he could recommend another place? my daughter laughed and said, “Of course he is from here, mama, look at his name! it has read ralf bundschu! I said they own this place. ok, it is our last night in the city, so could they recommend another place to dinner?” he answered flat, no. I was a little miffed now and said they are from here and yet can they not recommend any other restaurant for us? again he said: no, he couldn't. a few employees have gathered to watch this whole strange scene. So we just went away and then he had the boldness to call us to come back! in which I replied, we will certainly not!

Very nice restaurant with excellent local and international food and very creative ideas. Definitely on the more expensive side of things, though certainly worth it.
