Restaurant Cafe Utspann

A delicious selection of dishes with a focus on regional and seasonal products. The meat of Heidschnucke (the specific sheep of this region) is highly recommended, which comes from Utspann's own herd. Nevertheless: Vegetarian and even vegan dishes are not only available, but also delicious and there is a choice. A table reservation is recommended! Note: In the afternoon you can also book a tour with the horse trainer, including coffee and fresh cake.

We have never been to a traditional German restaurant, but if this is a sample, I would like to visit more. The food is very simple (in a good way) and the menu of the right size that the kitchen can all distinguish from them. We had the carving (a turkey and a framer's). The portions were too big for us, but very nicely prepared and served we saw people taking things home. The service is good, not brilliant, but good enough. The price is fair for the quality of food, but what restaurant runs out of rice?!? Worth a visit.

After a day in the bird park in Walsrode, we ended up in this restaurant. Very lovely and sunny biergarten. Extended menu with use of local ingredients. We chose the jager schnitzel with mushrooms, which was very tasty, with enough French fries and a crispy salad. Several (draft) beers to chose from. Although the service was a bit slow, the waitresses were most friendly and lovely (and we weren't in a hurry, so this wasn't a real issue for us). Reasonably priced.

Cosy and quaint restaurant with impressive menu, all from farm reared produce all obtained locally. Perfect for trying local cuisine, generally for meat lovers, but they do have fish and vegetarian dishes. I recommend the Horse.

Unser Stammrestaurant im Urlaub. Haben uns gern durch die äußerst leckere Speisekarte gegessen, die wohl an Frische und tollen Fleischgerichten unübertrefflich ist, die super lockere und sehr nette Bewirtung genossen, unser Junge hatte Mega Spaß auf der zugehörigen Spielwiese, haben die wahnsinnig schönen Kaltblüter bewundert und im gemütlichen Ambiente im grünen und gepflegten Biergarten die Abende genossen!10 Sterne für Alles! Allein wegen diesem Platz einen weiteren Urlaub wert!
