We tried to eat here one day but the kitchen was closed (we happened to go the one day the cooks had a day off. Wehave gotten drinks (juice, water here, which are rather expensive. (I paid over $5 for a mango smoothie, the kind in aprepackaged bottle that would maybe cost $3 elsewhere.
Was so excited to try this place. My husband and I thought we found another local gem, but after waiting 55 minutes for our lunch, we were brought the wrong food. I got up and asked for my money back. They said of course, but then our meal was readywhich were only 2 cold sandwiches. We sat and ate. I never got my money back and it wasn't cheap! 2 sandwiches 2 drinks a bag ofchips and tip was about $50.00. The whole experience was over 1 1/2 hours for 2 sandwiches. Horrible service!
This charming little market and deli offers friendly service and excellent food! There are plenty of menu options as well as delicious treats to choose from. They also have nightly specials. It’s just a five-minute walk from our hotel, Avila Village Inn, and conveniently located next to the Bob Jones Bike Trail—perfect for picking up food for a beach picnic. The place has both indoor and patio seating, making it a delightful surprise. We will definitely stop here again!
I attempted to order a Club sandwich from the menu, but they were out of ham. Not a big deal—I asked if I could just add a little extra turkey instead. However, the clerk on the Monday lunch shift flatly told me no and insisted that I needed to choose something else. You've lost a customer for life over this, all for just two extra slices of turkey? Unbelievable.
I’m giving this place 5 stars for its convenient location, beautiful atmosphere, good food, and charming décor. It's right off the Bob Jones Trail and has been our favorite lunch spot during walks for about 15 years! My only concern is that some of the staff can be unfriendly, and on a few occasions, even quite rude and moody. While the positive aspects outweigh the negatives for me (since I keep coming back), it would definitely enhance the experience if all the employees had a more pleasant demeanor when welcoming and serving customers.
