Previous Review: I am confused. I simply do not get it. I don't understand why everyone raves about this place. When my wife and I first arrived, we had to wait for a table, which was understandable given how busy it was. However, once we were seated, our waitress forgot to bring us menus, leaving us waiting for almost ten minutes. When we finally got them, I ordered the fried chicken that was recommended to me by someone else. Unfortunately, I still don't understand the hype. The chicken was dry and the seasoning was lacking, with bland flavors that lacked salt or pepper. It came with unappealing fries and a slice of artificially colored fruit that I couldn't even identify. The clientele seemed to be mostly older individuals, perhaps nostalgic for the restaurant, although I couldn't determine how long it had been open. There are better dining options in Austin, and while I may give it another chance in the future, it won't be anytime soon.

Clean, tasty food, and welcoming service. When I visited this unfamiliar restaurant, I took the waitress's recommendation and tried the chicken soup along with a roast beef and sauerkraut sandwich with potato chips. Everything was delicious and I had a great experience. I will definitely return, as this place deserves my highest praise.

I decided to try the fried chicken, which had been recommended to me by others, but I was not impressed. The chicken was only slightly juicy and the batter was bland with no seasoning. It came with uninspiring fries and a slice of fruit that was dyed with Kool-Aid, leaving me unable to identify it. The restaurant seemed to attract mainly senior citizens, who may have a nostalgic attachment to it, although I'm uncertain how long it has been around. While I am open to giving it another chance in the future, I believe there are better dining options in Austin that I would prefer to explore first.

The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. The service was very friendly. As is my custom when dining at a new restaurant, I asked the waitress for her recommendation. I ended up trying the chicken dumpling soup and a roast beef and sauerkraut sandwich with potato chips. Both dishes were excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely return to this restaurant in the future, which is the highest compliment I can give.
