Gumbos On The Lake - Austin

All the stars go to the stunning view from this restaurant. It's extremely crowded on weekends and especially during holidays, with wait times exceeding an hour and no assurance of getting a table. There wasn't much guidance for patrons, so you have to navigate the situation on your own. I suppose the popularity is due to the prime location and breathtaking views. I might come back during the week or in the off-peak season to see if the experience is better.

Unfortunately, the lake was quite dry and not very appealing. One of the outdoor heaters had been broken for a while and, according to the waitstaff, still hasn't been repaired. The food was mediocre. However, I can envision how beautiful it would be if the lake had more water.

I didn't try any of the services; I just went to check out the place and enjoy the sunset. It's a must-visit spot with an extraordinary view. The facilities are fantastic, and there's ample parking for vehicles.

Overpriced. Your paying for the view...if you can get one.

Queso and chips were great. Guacamole, not so much... too much lemon and texture wasn't good. Prices are too high. The seating was not safe in some cases. One of the chairs kept tipping over. Beautiful view of sunset!
