Eddie V's 5th Street - Austin

We came to Austin with our daughter who moved to Dallas for a new job to spend time with her . When booking we didn’t even know about the South by Southwest happenings . Nice bonus !

Our waiter, Kevin, was fairly new but did a fantastic job.

Everything was phenomenal, especially our waiter, he was exceptional!

Service was fine until we ordered dessert. The desert took over minutes it was bananas foster and when it finally came out the waiter poured cold syrup on top of the bananas and they barely lit. The resulting meal was ice cream cake . Raw bananas and cold syrup. We had already waited for so long for our dessert that there was no way to complain. Additionally during the minutes we were waiting for dessert, the waiter never asked us if we wanted a drink or anything. The last hour of our meal was very disappointing. This is the first time I have ever had a bad experience at Eddie V’s. And I’m not sure what was going on but it was not good

It was our Wedding Anniversary. They provided a card signed by the staff and rose petals nicely displayed on the table. Service from Eric and the rest of the wait staff was on point and the food was delicious. We will be back. We loved the attentiveness to our special occasion
