Went for a day trip to pondy and had lunch here... Very filling and properly priced... Service delays and non acceptance of card payments an issue... Otherwise top class food and wonderful deserts... Try the gelatos.. they are addictive
Went here for dinner ! Ordered chicken curry , pesto pasta chicken and kadai pasta ( only coz it sounded different). Firstly the place has zero ambience. Don't expect a feel or vibe here. 4 of us just sat arnd ordered and while waiting for the order the most horrible thing happens. A lizard falls from the hay and tile room right on my friend. I do know it's a natural thing and it's beyond the control of the café management but it was horrific. Coming to the food, apart from the chicken curry nothing was edible. The pastas were flavourless and dry according to me. The caramel custard tasted ok, but had an egg smell .I would not recommend this place to people looking to enjoy a yummy meal with a great ambience!
Finally down on our list - Had to wait for an hour for the place to open up in the evening. Located in a quiet and serene area, reaching the place might give you goosebumps if you go after dark. The ambience was nice and the service was good. We chose to go completely Indian at this place and ordered for masala papad (Good), Paneer butter masala (right amount of butter and tang), dal makhani (had the cream but wasn't too oily & heavy) and garlic roti. The portions were good in size and the aforementioned food served two people. The rotis, especially, are really huge in size so order carefully. Overall, the taste of the food was good - gave a homely feel - but most importantly, it was not too oily or spicy and was suited for European tastes. So if you like spicy food, like me, please ensure that you ask for a green chilli by the side :)
