Right Path Cafe - Auroville

Throughout this process, a male and female Indian staff watched on. When I tried to pick up my coffee, an Indian lady at the café aggressively told me that I hadn't paid. I explained the situation, but she continued to be rude. Frustrated, I left the coffee and food on the table and stated that I didn't want anything anymore. The male staff then angrily told me that I couldn't have the items for free. After this encounter, I decided to leave as there was no point in staying or eating at this place. I also witnessed the Indian lady being upset with her non-Indian coworker for not knowing how to pour filter coffee. This experience tarnished my view of Auroville, which is typically known for its peaceful and humble environment. The warmth and friendliness I encountered elsewhere in Pondicherry was not present in this café. This unfortunate incident may not affect the café, but I believe in the energy of a place, and the vibes here were not positive. This café will not be a fond memory in my recollection of Pondicherry.

All of the desserts are worth it, esp considering how reasonably they are priced! Best place of our visit to Pondy

Liked the food served here, vegetarian, fresh, hearty and healthy. Opens for breakfast and closes earlish.

Den Namen Right Path Cafe finde ich für ein Restaurant, das im Visitor's Center die Massen an Besuchern abzufertigen versucht, etwas zu abgehoben. Man versucht sein Bestes, was manchmal gelingt, manchmal auch nicht. Es wird viel Wert auf die Qualität der Zutaten gelegt, beim Geschmack könnte man noch etwas üben. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ok, Service bemüht. Im Laufe der Jahre wurde viel renoviert und erweitert. Eine schöne Neuerung ist über dem Restaurant das Le Zephyr, ein Restaurant im fast-food style, das Burger (veg/non-veg), wraps und Säfte anbietet. Geführt wird es von der Auroville Jugend. An manchen Tagen gibt es Filme oder geführte Kunstaktivitäten. Spiele sind immer vorhanden. Time and place to hang out.

The Right Path Cafe, near the visitors longe inside Auroville offers a great variety of food for all the different nationalities and taste buds! Being a Shiv Rathri, we decided to go for some fresh soup and oats with lots of greens. Good service, hygienic food, well crowded and freshly prepared. Moderately priced and a relaxed dining experience in an open kind of a restaurant. Enjoyed the food.On a second visit we had some south indian stuff like Idli, Dosa and coffee, alongwith fruits.
