Timbuktu Cafe - Augusta

Magnificent food! Each dish is prepared as ordered, which is great from a flavor perspective, but it does mean you need to plan ahead. We tried three different dishes, and several beverages, and this stuff packs a serious punch! Everything we tried had a marvelous aroma and a taste to match.

I happened to meet the owner of this restaurant by chance at another place, and he mentioned his restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. The hospitality was fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. However, that ginger drink was a bit overwhelming for me! Overall, this place is amazing, and I can definitely see myself coming back regularly.

It took us a while to decide on our orders because there were so many tempting options. For us, that just means we now have a list of things to try on our next visit! I had a dish that, unfortunately, I can't remember the name of, and I couldn’t find it in the pictures of the menus (they seem to have expanded their options since those photos were taken), but it was amazing! Due to my indecision and the owner's generosity, I also got to sample some peanut butter soup and fufu, and I know I’ll be ordering a full serving of that next time. Delicious!

I was really excited to try this restaurant and finally got the chance to visit this weekend. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff was friendly. There is about a thirty-minute wait, so it's a good idea to order in advance. I opted for the Beef with fufu and okra sauce. While the portion size was smaller than I expected, the dish was quite filling and delicious. This was my first experience with West African cuisine, and I will definitely return to explore more of the menu. I don't regret spending my money at this establishment.

Just being honest.. Food was great, portions very small,customer service great and price not so great. I?ve had it before served by Nigerians and they made sure you were full and happy.
