Ray's Smokehouse Bbq - Augusta

When I think of hidden gems, Rays comes to mind. The barbecue is exceptional and everything was perfect. I will definitely return when I'm back in town. Be sure to try this place; you won't be disappointed!

Wow! We're really late to discover Rays, but this is definitely going to be our new BBQ spot! As someone else mentioned, the exterior isn't the most appealing, but the interior is quite nice—very clean and tidy. Next time, I’ll make sure to dine in! The young man who took our order was very professional. He allowed us to take a look at our food before packaging it, and I have to say, presentation is everything! It looked as good as it tasted! And the peach cobbler? Simply amazing!

I visited on a Thursday at 3 PM because I had enjoyed the food previously and wanted to buy a plate to share the experience with my husband. Unfortunately, they were closed despite us waiting all week. I was really disappointed that they weren't open during the hours they claimed they would be. I don't think I'll be returning...

Visited Augusta, GA for the first time over the weekend my husband and I. We were headed back to NC late Saturday and decided to stop by Ray's for my husband to grab some lunch after a disappointing breakfast. At first glance of the building it was deceiving of the delicious food that awaits you on the inside. He went in and came back to the truck with his food. Opened it and it looked amazing. He allowed me, lol to taste his ribs which was so tender and delicious and I got a little carried away with his food that it led me into Ray's to order my own. Try It! You will enjoy it as we did. Rib Plate with ribs, mac/cheese/green beans/ Texas toast. Yum, Yum..

Very clean...small dining area but quaint.Very nice owner...Impressed w/barbque..Will definitely be back...Price reasonable
