Don Pepe - Augusta

I had never tried Don Pepe's restaurant until today, but I can confidently say that I am now a devoted fan. Whether Don Pepe has a million fans or just a few, I am proud to be counted among them. The food was absolutely delicious, to the point where I would choose it as my last meal if I were on death row. The staff at the Augusta Mall location on Tuesday, June 21st, truly went above and beyond to make my dining experience special. Don Pepe, you have won me over completely.

I did not speak with the management during my first visit, which was perfect. The food was delicious and the service was good. However, when I returned two months later at around 11 o'clock, right when they opened, the service was slow and my order was incorrect. I had ordered beef street tacos and a beef taco salad, but the meat had no flavor. Additionally, they mistakenly gave me a chicken taco salad instead of the beef I had requested. Unfortunately, they do not offer refunds.

I ordered the Texas rice and felt that there was potential, but it turned out to be bland. The dish lacked flavor and the meat was sparse. It seemed like they were relying too heavily on the cheese to mask the lack of seasoning. The portion size was generous, but my recommendation would be to add more meat and seasonings.

Good food, great staff. price is right. guacamole needs a little salsa to be better. I will be a regular customer.

Staff was very friendly. I have an onion allergy and they went above and beyond to accommodate me. Food was delicious. Portion size was huge! I ended up getting 4 meals from my entree.
