The Duck Liver Pâté was served with poached pear, providing a lovely touch of sweetness, and the brioche bread enhanced the richness of the pâté with its buttery texture. I fell in love with the braised chicken and sauce of the Coq au Vin; it evoked a sense of comfort and homeliness. The service at La Fourchette was impeccable, with the waitstaff eager to provide recommendations. They also offered an excellent selection of French wines for pairing. If you're looking for a remarkable French dining experience featuring superb food and wine, I wholeheartedly recommend this place!
This restaurant is truly a charming place to visit. The service is polite and friendly. The omelette is incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. The salmon is delightful, and the pizza is wonderful; even the roasted vegetables on the side are fantastic! We will definitely return with our family and friends, as they all enjoyed it immensely. Thank you, La Fourchette, for providing us with such a wonderful dining experience!
La Fourchette is a charming café-restaurant located in the seaside village of St Heliers. The spacious interior, adorned with shades of cloudy blue and simple yet elegant decor, creates a serene atmosphere. The polished cutlery added a touch of sophistication to my lunch experience. I started off with an almond milk flat white, but I found the espresso to be a bit too strong for my taste, and the presentation was rather plain, which was somewhat disappointing. My lunch followed shortly after the coffee. I ordered the Wagyu and Savannah Burger, and it was absolutely delicious. The wagyu patty was rich and juicy, accompanied by bacon, pickles, onion, and a delightful truffle mayo. The brioche bun was firm yet had a tender crust, and the fries were fresh and crispy. No visit to a French café is complete without trying their crepe, so I opted for the Caramel Crepe. It arrived warm, perfectly layered with caramel sauce and topped with hazelnuts. The vanilla ice cream balanced out the sweetness of the caramel beautifully. The service was outstanding. I was attended to by a lovely French waiter who patiently waited as I made my decision. He was attentive throughout the meal and frequently refilled my water glass. While the prices were on the higher side, the premium lunch experience made it worthwhile. I’m also aware that they offer high tea and dinner courses, which I would love to try on my next visit. Food: 8/10 Food Presentation: 8.5/10 Service: 10/10 Ambience: 10/10 Value for Money: 8/10 Overall, the meal came to about $30 per person.
The macaroons here are absolutely delightful, practically melting in your mouth. While the service leaves something to be desired, the stunning presentation of the dishes more than makes up for it. With beautiful decor and affordable prices, it's a great spot in St. Heliers.
