Panda Kitchen - Auckland Central

We have recently grown fond of Panda Kitchen because of its delightful dishes. While it's known for its tonepot dishes, I find them a bit bland compared to the ones I used to have at home. What we really appreciate about Panda Kitchen are some offerings that are hard to find elsewhere. For instance, the braided duck is unique and not your typical braided duck. It comes with yam down and the sauce is truly delicious! Also, the stir-fried mixed vegetables, despite the unexciting name, were surprisingly tasty! We also noticed a few vegetarian dishes, so we'll be sure to try those next time.

Some of my favorites include the salt and pepper black bean dish and their clay pot rice, which is a must-try! There are so many delicious combinations to choose from. I also had their steamed fish, which was delightful. They offer a good selection of seasonal vegetables, and you can ask the waitstaff about what’s available. The portion sizes are generous, and the dishes are always fresh with a well-balanced flavor—not overly salty, and they don’t use MSG, which I appreciate. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area, especially if you're dining with a larger group!

A great place for fast cheap Cantonese style Chinese cuisine. very generous portions and eating tastes pretty good. it will be my favorite place to dinate when I am too lazy to cook and want a little quick and tasty. mustel congee is the best here. also love their chicken ton pot rice and crispy noodles with shredded pork and mushrooms.

I ordered the clay pot rice with mushrooms, and it was quite filling—I couldn't finish it, so I took the leftovers home. The meal was absolutely delicious, although the wait for it was a bit longer than expected. The soy sauce that was provided was just right—not too strong—and complemented the rice perfectly. However, the only downside was the communication with the staff.

Big fan of their Cantonese styled dishes. It's a low frill restaurant but food was top notch. Dishes were cooked over a big flame. We'd be back to try more!
