Himalayan Fusion Cafe - Auburn

Reminds you of taste we get in India. Its a great place for casual dine in. Nicely priced. We go regularly for momos.

9 mature (at times) friends and myself went here last Friday night for our "mothers group" Christmas dinner out. I had been here a few times before but for others it was a first both for the Cafe and having Nepalese food. And we were not disappointed, the food was great and a few are vowing to bring their families.We had Samosa Chats (my favourite), Aloo Achaar, Piro Aloo and Chicken and Veg steamed Momo with mains being Goat Thali and Chiken Biryani. Everyone liked the Soy beans served with the Thali. Including corkage and tip it worked out at $20 pp, you couldn't ask for better. The staff were lovely and helped us with some of our choices. Easily recommend this place for a change to Indian restaurants.

Out of the four options (if we include the food court in the mall) for Indian/Nepalese cuisine in Ashfield, this is easily the best.

The food had a high oil content, but it was served hot. The taste was good and the ambiance was average. Delivery orders were fulfilled in 20 minutes. There were limited options for vegetarians, but a wide variety of choices for non-vegetarians.

Worst Momo and Thukpa ever had in my life.... Vegeterian Momo stuffed with potatoes. And Thukpa made with incorrect selection of noodles!!
