Coop 303 - Atlantic Beach

The appetizer was delicious. but when it came to the most important cures, they were fair. the fish sandwiches that the fish did not seem fresh. it was not flaky, but not completely boiled. it was sent back to the chef to cook it and came back with the same exact way. when I asked if the fish was fresh, the answer was, it was about two days old due to the fact that it was post thanksgiving meal. in this case, they should have informed that the fish was not fresh and probably recommended not to order it.

We could hardly talk about our table, thanks to the loud young at the bar.

Well lets start off with the elephant in the room, better yet the grub on the plate. My daughter's roommate was horrified when a grub crawled out of the greens on her plate. Yes it was alive!!! What the..... Our waitress did seem concerned and got a manager or something. He made the comment that should not have happen, duh. I would hope not, was the grub wrangler out that day. They did comp her dish but charged her for her bowl of soup and glass of wine she needed to calm her nerves. Management just didn't seem to care. I think they should have handled it way better. No we will not be coming back.

Food and service were excellent. I find their mixed drinks to be less than of value. One person’s manhattan barely filled 1/2 the martini glass. The two vodka sodas were mostly club soda. Second round the same even after we made it known the first round was below par. This wasn’t the first visit. We will probably do happy hour somewhere else next visit, and just order dinner at Coop.

Steak and fish were excellent. Valet parking service is essential. A very enjoyable birthday dinner!!
