Great place to hang and the staff is awesome!!! Negative reviews are so wrong. Bar rescue did a great job ramping this place up.

Friendly staff and fair prices. Clean. Allows smoking which was the only negative. Stop in!

Had great service and an amazing time while visiting this establishment. Drinks are priced well and excellent ambiance. Will be revisiting soon.

Miami is the best! We always feel welcome when we visit Odies. He remembers our drinks, always has great conversation and makes us feel as if we were just there yesterday even if it's been a month. Yes it maybe a little smoky but it is worth it. The staff and company are amazing!!! We LOVE Odies

Precursor I have a lot of money. My friends told me to steer clear of this place due to the sheer amount of money in my wallet, but I wanted to see this place for myself. The restaurant looked vastly improved on Spike/Paramount's Bar Rescue, so I figured I'd give it a try while I was in town. You see, my Aunt Nancy lives in Atlantic Beach, Florida; and I had nothing to do on a Saturday night. I made my way to Cap'n Odies, and I was pretty impressed with the decor. I support the troops, and seeing the respect paid to our heroes gave the restaurant a good start. However, this is where things went downhill. I sat at the bar, but the bartenders blatantly ignored me. Rather than taking my order, they took shot after shot and followed each shot with a cigarette. Just when I thought that the cute bartender was coming over to take my order, she instead exhaled a mouth full of smoke in my face. This was especially terrible for me, because I quit smoking 6 years ago and one puff of secondhand smoke can have me fall right off the Marlboro wagon. While being ignored by the staff, I couldn't even turn to the clientele for entertainment. I was hoping to pick up a sexy lady, but instead I was surrounded by women(? emanating an unbearable foul body odor. After what seemed like hours, I finally had my order taken by a heavily intoxicated waitress. I ordered an old fashioned and some wings, thinking that they couldn't mess those up. Boy was I wrong. The wings were burned on the outside and raw on the inside, and disgusting all around. As for the drink, I had to double check that I ordered and old fashioned. Because this tasteless concoction was NOT an old fashioned. I'm not even that picky, but I expect any licensed bar to make an easy drink properly. There's a reason I'm rich I didn't make all this money just to throw it away at classless Florida dive bars. I mistakenly thought that this bar would meet my standard since Jon Taffer had saved it, but for one final time that day I was left feeling disappointed. Safe to say I will never bring this fat wallet in those doors again. This place is a disgrace to the owner's father. My dad was a sailor, and this restaurant did nothing but offend me. When I finally left the restaurant, my night wasn't over. Cap'n Odies is in a high crime area, and sketchy characters were lurking in every shadow. Now I see why the wealthy avoid this place like the plague. I don't think my hand left the concealed grip of my Glock 21 for the whole walk to my expensive Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm just grateful that my catalytic converter and rims were not stolen. Anchors up, time to sail away from Cap'N Odies to never come back. I'll never drop my anchor there again.
