Before they even knew how many people were going to attend the event or the date they just replied "not interested "and hung up. No explaination just hungup. I was trying to help a local business as there is no vendor fee. Don 't waste your time with these guys. Previously I hadtalked to them in person and they said they needed 2 weeks notice.
I stopped in because they had a lot of positive reviews. The brisket was probably the best I had ever had. It was so rich in flavor without being so drownd in seasoning that you couldn't taste the meat. The baked beans were sweet with bbq sauce and youcould taste the beef in it. The corn fritters were also a treat.
Amazing food. Corn fritters are the best ever. Okra, brisket, chicken, pulled pork, bbq sauce is out of this world good.
Stopped here on a trip to Tennessee. Good food with the exception of the slaw. More of a sweet store bought slaw than hand made, which I prefer. Chicken strip were good as was husband's baby back ribs. Fall off the bone tender.
You can tell this is a family business as soon as you walk in the door. The smiling faces behind the counter and an honest welcome set the stage for what is to come. Never having been to Big Daddy?s before I told them to give me what they were proudof and they did! I got a family size sample of brisket, pork, ribs, wings, beans and potato salad. While it was all good theribs and brisket were REALLY good. Those are competition level. The corn fritters are habit forming and probably deserve areview all their own. But as good as all of that was the real star of the show for me was the potato salad! I don?t know how todescribe it. I brought home some banana pudding but didn?t get to eat any of it. The kids landed on that stuff like wilddogs. I think Big Daddy,s might just have to be a Friday night standard for me.
