Really appreciated the vegan menu item here! The vegan pastrami, egg and cheese was tasty and hearty! I’d come back again :
We had lunch at this restaurant on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and it was quite busy due to the lovely weather. Thankfully, we only had to wait a moment for our table. Despite the crowd, our waiter was extremely attentive. Our drinks arrived quickly, and we ordered the Sangria, which was simply delicious. For starters, we had the fried pickles, which were breaded to perfection. We also tried the steak and fish, and they were cooked flawlessly. I would highly recommend this place—definitely a 10/10!
The vegan options are good, but there are only a few available. I've had the vegan Reuben several times, and while it's amazing to have that option, it tends to be quite rich and heavy – I can usually only manage to eat about three-quarters of it. Unfortunately, for me, it's pretty much the only item I can get from the dinner menu, which makes it less enjoyable when friends know I’m limited to this choice when we come here. To be fair, they do offer a vegan banh mi sausage roll, but I haven't tried it due to food allergies. I wonder if they could modify their salads to be vegan, and if there might be other unlisted vegan options on the menu, like the roasted carrot hummus. I had brunch there once and had a delicious vegan BLT, but I don’t see it on the online menu anymore. Instead, they now have a vegan “pastrami, egg, and cheese” sandwich that sounds intriguing and seems to be the only vegan option at brunch. Even the avocado toast contains meat or fish and cheese, but the staff is quite nice, so they might be willing to customize an avocado toast for someone seeking a vegan option. They also offer a burrata farro salad that might be adaptable, and there could be other hidden vegan items as well. While the vegan options available are well-executed, the limited selection makes it hard for me to justify coming here regularly for a meal. It’s still a great place for drinks and the occasional meal, and it's family-friendly for brunch since they have high chairs. Overall, it’s definitely a crowd-pleaser for groups with a mix of vegan and non-vegan diners.
We ordered the burger, coconut shrimp, mac and cheese, and buffalo Brussels sprouts. The burger was dry, and the mac and cheese lacked flavor. The buffalo Brussels sprouts were decent, although there were a few bitter pieces, and the shrimp was just okay as well. The service was quite slow, and they don’t offer free refills. On the positive side, the ambiance was lovely.
