Jacksdale Garden Centre - Ashfield

I had a pleasant breakfast at this restaurant without it being too crowded. The staff was very helpful and appreciative. Although we had to wait a bit for our food, it was definitely worth it as it was cooked to order, hot, perfectly cooked, and there was plenty of it. I will definitely return to this restaurant again.

Had a lovely relaxing morning with friends. The breakfast was absolutely superb, better than we've had at other garden centres. The staff were really friendly and I would definitely recommend

On the day of our visit to the garden centre tea rooms in what has in the past been excellent service, the length of the queue for ordering and paying for food was unacceptable. Although there appeared to be other staff members present there was only one person serving the queue, who appeared to be unsure/hesitant as to what she was doing and seemed to be unaware of what was available on the Specials board outside as one of my friends just received a tuna sandwich minus the additions that were advertised. When questioned a member of staff offered to add salad which my friend refused as she had gone off the idea by then! Considerably under staffed, why don't they put at least 2 members of the staff on the counter taking orders. We arrived at 1.15 and it was 2.15 before our food arrived with the majority of the time taken waiting at the counter to be served. I have to say that 2 of the meals were excellent but my friend's tuna sandwich was made with stale dry bread but by then she had lost the will to complain. Will not be visiting again.

Guys, what have you done? Did you not read the script that garden centre cafes are cosy, warm and comfortable places? You’ve replaced all the nice chairs and table with black metal and plastic. The chairs are cold, hard and uncomfortable (so that people don’t stay too long maybe) and makes the place look bleak and dreary. You’ve also got the worlds noisiest and most irritating espresso machine. You were my favourite garden centre and cafe. Get rid of the ugly furniture, redecorate and we’ll say no more about it.

Gathering with family at this charming garden center is always a delight. Whether it's meeting with loved ones or friends, we truly enjoy the warm reception from the friendly staff.
