El Gabacho Tex Mex Grill - Arlington

It's a cute place. They have a patio. The food is okay. The Beef and Shrimp Queso Flameado is the best. They are thieves when it comes to money. We bought a gallon of margaritas, $56. Keep in mind they are $45 at On The Border. We sent our friend up there to get one. They charged her $120! We called and they said it was $56. We sent her up there for a refund. We called one more time to verify the price before she got there. The bartender said $70. When she got there they said she could not get a refund that that was the right price. Then she went back to the car where her friend was waiting. He got out of the car and went in and bought one one for $60. They are just making this stuff up as they go along and not refunding when they get caught. Shameful! We used to eat there quite frequently and take our company there for outings, but needless to say, that ended today. I give them 1 star because i had to and another for the best beef and shrimp queso flameado ever! As a side note, the bartender, or bar waiter, bumps into me every time he's there, usually twice. He turns and apologizes every time, but good grief, learn your body spacing.

Sorry but the menu said the spinach enchiladas would include mushrooms and Monterey Jack. It only had spinach rolled up in a tortilla. I complained and no one offered to get me something else or take anything off my check. Besides the atmosphere was filled with depressing music.Food: 1/5

Fantastic food, the service is good although I do usually have something small wrong with most of my orders. Not a big deal though.Food: 5/5

Cute place but always awkward... From parking and host/seating, to service and drink and chip refills or lack thereof. Not necessarily bad, but inattentive/overwhelmed, and awkward is the only appropriate description. Food is mediocre at best, drinks are meh. They seem to try hard, but failed to meet basic expectations on 3 visits. Small patio that gets waaaay hot in summer. Lack of options in the area seems to be their biggest plus.

Excellent food. Spicy salsa and cold margaritas. The street taco’s in particular were quite good. Our server, Maria, was friendly and helpful with advice about the food drinks. We will absolutely be back.
