This place has really gone down. It used to be our family favorite, but the food tonight was no where near what we have enjoyed in the past. The business is about one-third smaller due to a downsizing in the last few months. The salmon kebab was not fully cooked, and the cabbage rolls (which we were glad to see back on the menu) were only mildly warm. We left wondering if this business has changed hands. Upon arriving home, I lost my dinner at the toilet. Hopefully, I will return to normal tomorrow.
Food was not fresh and definitely not enough for the gyro
Good location, easy parking, limited menu, fresh food, service was a bit slow. Other than that solid 4-star establishment.
We ate at Istanbul Grill about 10 years ago on an infrequent visit to Texas. Ever since then, it has been the top-rated restaurant in Arlington every time I check. Recently, I had the opportunity to take my lovely bride back there a second time. They did not let me down. It is every bit as good as it was back then, if not better. The lamb was almost melt-in-my-mouth tender, moist and flavorful. Yet it was so mild that I almost mistook it for beef. The service was as good as the food. Our waitress was so graceful that I suspect she may be the matron of the establishment. She asked us if we wanted to take away our leftover flatbread. When we agreed to that, she brought more warm bread in a carry-out bag. My only regret was that it was too late in the evening to try the Turkish coffee. I hope it won't be 10 years before we do this again!
