(usually would be fine but a bed of lentils instead of salad no thanks).Waiter wasn't exactly apologetic gave the impression that it was my fault. When done with dinner we were more or less being handed the bill and we had to ask if it was possible to see the dessert menu. Not returning menu is small, overpriced and service wasn't good. Had the opposite experience at Cafe Cruz and hideaway. (Water guy and hostess were very pleasant).
They earned a star for the view which is nice. This place is a hotel restaurant. We went here for mother's day. It was a buffet. It was expensive. Over $400 (that includes the tip. I think i tip'd about 14%. $50 for getting us drinks. Our party was 3 adults a baby and a child. The food quality was about the same as any other buffet I've been to and like every other buffet everything just seems not fresh. Obviously because it's been sitting out for who knows how long. The food wasn't bad. It's just that the quality is so far from the price. We could've gone somewhere else and had a really good freshly prepared meal for less than we paid here. I expect better than average food if I'm paying over $80/person. Setting was great. Service was very friendly. Parking was easy.
Mother's Day brunch. Food was just ok for $85/per. TBH I never enjoy brunches of this kind (e.g., Father's day etc) in most restaurants. They just do not deliver and would rather visit another time and eat from the menu. Not sure I would recommend for brunch on this sort of occasion. On plus side, servers and staff were very attentive and friendly. Guy in golf cart nicely directed us to parking garage down street when I pulled up and looked confused (even gave us a ride back to the front door)! Also, we had outdoor patio seating with a fabulous view (though foggy). Would consider revisiting as a guest etc.
Had Mother's Day brunch, buffet food was ok in my opinion could have been better being our bill was $600 for 7 people. Didn't care for being seated on the second level and the food was on the first level, they should have had a secondary food station on the second level, was a bit of a pain going up/down the elevator to get your food.
The mother's day buffet was not worth $103 per person, sorry, it's just not. The pancakes were dry and hard around the edges, the scrambled eggs were too dry, the pastries were mediocre, the prime rib also over-done. I would pay $30, but only because there was a large selection. The oysters on the half shell were amazing, everything else, meh.
