In my opinion, this is the second best farmer's market in town. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They offer a wide variety of fruits, veggies, breads, vegan crepes, and many other options.
This farmer's market in the Santa Cruz area is considered one of the best. It is open rain or shine and offers a wide variety of local, organic produce directly from the farmers themselves. The market has received accolades such as being voted "America’s Favorite Farmers Market in California" in 2011, 2012, and 2013, and being named one of "The Coast’s Best Farmers Markets" by Coastal Living Magazine. In addition to fruits and vegetables, the market offers prepared food options with many vegetarian and vegan choices, as well as flowers and plants. Local performers such as The Great Morgani and a bluegrass band provide entertainment for visitors, especially the children who enjoy playing along with vegetable shakers. A favorite vendor among customers is Route One Farms for their competitive prices and familiar faces working there each week. Other recommended vendors include Pinnacles for their bug-free produce (except for broccoli and cauliflower), and Previdelli Farm for their affordable organic apples. Overall, there are many other vendors worth checking out at this exceptional market.
I recently visited a restaurant that offers vegan Musubi options called Zen Musubi. It was fantastic.
This is probably my second favorite farmers market in the city. The people here are all very friendly and welcoming. They offer a good variety of fruits, vegetables, breads, vegan crepes, and other options.
