Went here for breakfast on our epic tour of the Great Ocean Road, the weather was freezing and we ended up stopping in Apollo Bay just by chance.
In La bimba, Tripadvisor chose local dishes that were rated nearby. The marshmallow hot cocoa was delicious. Finally, I found kangaroo meat on the menu, but it was sold out. Farm sink? Can't remember the name of the dish, cheese, meat slices, olives, sauces, it tastes good. The peculiar oyster recipe, the taste is surprisingly good, tomato, coriander, etc., steamed soup, peculiar combination of ingredients. A peculiar big fish with clear teeth. It is said to be a local marine fish. I don't know what its scientific name is. It tastes good after being fried. Toasted pumpkin salad, topped with large almond diced, topped with salad dressing, taste just right. Australian seafood risotto, large oysters, fresh shrimps, full of pots, bright color and appetite. The overall evaluation is five stars. The only thing to note is that there are few chefs at night, and the dishes are slow. Be patient when waiting for the dishes.
I heard of this place from an article which said it was a must visit when driving through Apollo bay. It's a nice quiet rustic restaurant with locally sourced fresh produce. Food was amazing and service was outstanding.
We had dinner there on May 11, 2017. Very pleasant setting, excellent welcome and service. Good advice too. Presence of many Asians therefore pledge of fresh and well-cooked fish. We ate an excellent and well prepared flathead. With 2 glasses of Riesling, we paid $ 92.37. Maybe a bit pricey, but the fish was outstanding.
