Przekaż informację zwrotnąTok some of the family for Lunch today. Great views attentive staff and Food was excellent.- had asteak & Ale pie with pastry done in English Style. Only regret was I did not learn they had Liqueurs that would have complemented the Eton Mess. Met the owner/chef after meal and discovered we had common interests from his time in UK. Great place to visit and close to home too.
After all of the hype my family and I decided to visit this place for dinner and when we arrived there were three guys waving us into the parking lot, all competing for the tip.We went into the building and went upstairs but the second floor was hot and smelt of cooked food so we were shown to the 3rd floor which was an open view over Eastwood City and the airport in the far distance. On our way up I noticed a board that that the daily specials written on it and I asked the waiter for this board as there was no such board on the third floor. We ordered drinks and I asked for a regular Coke and off the waiter went to get our drinks. Two minutes later he came back saying that they were out of regular Coke (seriously) and they offered Coke Zero and Coke Caffeine-free and after choosing off he went again. The drinks arrived and after a while the food and what a disappointment. The fish and chips were a small portion and chips were very oily. The pork chop that my daughter ordered was really tough and she left it. My wife’s Wagyu Burger was the plainest burger ever and nothing special. The “Special of the Day” that I ordered which was Red Snapper on a bed of sweet tomato relish that was super-vinegar flavoured and the portion was very small. After that we paid the bill and left and in getting into our car the afore-mentioned three guys started blowing whistles in their attempts to help us back out onto the main road and it was all very distracting.I appreciate what the chef/owner is trying to do but the food was presented in a so-so fashion but quantity and quality is better when taking into consideration the price that we paid. As it was our children were still hungry when we left so on the way back we stopped at Jollibee’s and bought them fried chicken and fries.Being British I look for good quality food in the Philippines and there are only a few places that I go out to eat in that offer good service and good food and I had hoped that Demar’s would fall into this group but sadly, not.
Unplanned joy ride to Antipolo. Unplanned early dinner to this place also. The place is simple, humble yet stylish. Because of its simplicity, we thought the food would be simple too. We ordered their 2 best seller main courses. Beef and Pork. It started with complementaries: Malungay Soup, Salad Greens in Balsamic Dressing and Focaccia Bread with Balsamic and Tomato Salsa. We thought that it would be just simple. We are wrong!!! The food was served fine dining style! And the taste? Delicious!!! I'll definitely comeback. And not to forget, their Malungay Iced Tea is really good.
I've been meaning to try this restaurant on the Sumalong Highway up to Antipolo for some time now, as I've passed it many times since it opened. The restaurant is on two decks, both with great views over Metro Manila. No aircon but it's breezy and reasonably cool. The menu looked good with some interesting dishes, and the complimentary malunggay toast and house salad was a nice touch. But the food was very disappointing. Ordered the steak pie, a Caesar salad and Malunggay iced tea. The steak was not very lean (although the meaty parts were tender and tasty) and there wasn't much gravy in the pie. The mashed potato that accompanied it was dry. The Caesar salad was absolutely drowned in dressing so I couldn't eat most of it. The Malunggay iced tea was sickly sweet (I diluted it with water to drink some of it) so all up a very disappointing meal. Maybe some of the other dishes are better, but rating it on the quality of food from this one visit, I have no option but to rate it 'poor'. I hope the restaurant takes heed of these reviews and tries to improve the food quality, because I can see this place has potential, and would be nice to have a restaurant in this location that serves better quality food than Padi's Point. I may try it again in a few months to see if there is any improvement. If not, I don't think this place will last long.
This is a new restaurant along Sumulong highway overlooking the city. It has a wider Metro Manila view than other Antipolo restaurants. I am always in the hunt for good fish and chips, and the one served here is good, although the serving is not big. We also tried the pork belly and burger, and both were good. Flavored beer is served. I tried the macadamia and found it ok for a change, though I found out that the beer's base was San Mig Light. The staff was very attentive. Overall, a nice restaurant to go to on weekends, either for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is also big enough to for group or family gatherings.
