Boca Negra - Angra do Heroísmo

Most of the food was yummy. The alcatra de peixe was delicious. The grilled lulas… not so much. Service was great.

Good food on a local restaurant. The specialty fiish alcatra similar to a stew is the king here. Searched by locals and tourists alike. However they only serve portions for minimum 2 people so go with company. Octopus dish is also good and flavoursome, on a generous portion.

Good fish Alcatra (the traditional meal of the island). The service was good but the room is very loud when full. The seafood was somewhat more expensive than other places that we visited in the island.

Had such a nice experience here in boca negra. we enjoyed trying the local barnacles for the first time (according to a short tutorial how to eat them from friendly staff), and the regional fish stew special dish. extremely tasty and unforgettable eating. I want to come back.

We are all grateful and enjoyed very the meals and the personal good humor and sympathy. the fava beans are one of the most delicious appetizers we have tried and the vegetarian dish alternative was well presented and original! a really pleasant experience we have found!
