Railway Tavern - Amberley

This is a great local and very popular among the locals. We had to book a table and it was worth it. The ambience is typical of a small town pub/restaurant. The staff were excellent and very friendly. They kept on top of drink and food orders and were happy to have a yarn when they could afford the time. However, being a Friday night, it was busy. The food was great and there was plenty to choose from on the menu. Next time I'm visiting Amberley, I will definitely be back!

Weird experience. Great food but young waitress quite unprofessional leaning on table to take our orders and her behaviour was bordering on inappropriate. Made some people at table quite uncomfortable. A shame as food was fantastic. We have been regulars here for some time but would reconsider to go now as new service was disappointing. Great place for a proper bit of pub grub. Friendly staff, good portions, will adjust to dietary requirements. Some starters are as big as mains and the chicken salad with some extra eggs on the side is top notch. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of parking available.
