The Cow Palace - Amado

We had a great lunch with some amazing friends! We absolutely loved the Santa Fe Melt—just make sure to substitute the sourdough bread for the wheat bread; both are delicious, but the wheat is our favorite. Also, you should definitely try the pitcher margarita with the 6oz beer combo; it's a lot of fun! And don’t miss out on Lynn's dirty martini; it's really good too!

Today was Mother's Day, and the only dining option was a buffet. The brisket and veal were quite good, but that was about the highlight of the meal. By 2 PM, they had already run out of ham. The smoked salmon was disappointing, and there weren't any breakfast items on the brunch menu. The scalloped potatoes were cold and lacked flavor. Unfortunately, the desserts were not appealing and offered limited choices. As for the salads, there was hardly any selection—just a basic green salad with cherry tomatoes and a terrible potato salad, while the coleslaw was only passable. Overall, it was not worth the price. I might consider returning to try their regular menu, but I'm not sure.

Good food and service but the air conditioning is not working well. Wear shorts if you want to be comfortable. Got the prime rib and it was phenomenal. Unfortunately you can only get the prime rib on Saturdays here. The Core Palace is a historic landmark and has hosted celebrities like John Wayne. They aren't my favorite restaurant but it's definitely worth a visit if you're passing through.

A really solid 4, almost a 5th service was fast and excellent! this is so important when they have a large group with separate controls. I had the rustic burger and thought it was great. could be the best burger I had in the green valley! we had a great time!
