Dick's Restaurant And Bar - Alva

Late on a Sunday afternoon, rainy, on the way home. Stopped in to try as this is near our house. Excellent ribs, Dutchess potatoes, baked beans not too sweet. Nice menu, friendly server. Small old building, many incarnations through the years. This time, I really hope they do well, because the food was very good, and that's the main reason to go out to eat. On the weekends they do live music, maybe karaoke, some special promotions, and a buffet.

Went to Dick's for the first time. Excellent food, great portions as well as value. Serious smoker out front. Had the Grillmaster sandwich which consist of brisket, chopped pork, grilled sausage, coleslaw and cheese. (Couple more tap offerings would be nice... Like an IPA)

Very Friendly, the food came out fast and hot, good prices. Would definitely go again.

This place rocks! We stopped here on March 2nd while doing some shopping in the area for some BBQ. Needless to say we were not disappointed. I had the Parmesan garlic ribs, which seemed odd, but was really good. Their sauces (both regular and mustard based! were also very, very good. The ribs were slow cooked and smoked, they were very tender, pink, and moist. This is as good as it gets. My wife had some kind of ultimate BBQ sandwich and hot damn! That was a lot of food. 10/10 would pig out there again!

I can't speak about the food because we left before we ordered any. After half hour just waiting for someone to take our drink order, we witnessed our server touching money the register and other objects, she proceeded to place her fingers in our glass while helping another client. The health risks are unbelievable!
