Barra Fish Chips - Altona Meadows

I absolutely love the calamari at Barra. I won’t order fish and chips from anywhere else. The chips are perfectly crunchy and light in color, thanks to the clean oil they use. The food is never greasy!

I called to order flake and chips, and it was a great experience. The chips were nice, the fish tasted fresh, and the batter was just as good as Cassie's in Hunstanton. I also tried a fish cake, which was decent.

Absolutely fantastic! The fish and chips here are incredible—perfectly crispy with a great batter, well-drained and cooked in quality oil. The portions are generous, too. We drive over 8 kilometers just to enjoy this place because it’s definitely worth it. Best fish and chips in the West! I'm so glad we discovered this gem! Delicious!

I drive all the way from point cook for this fish and chips. The fish is so succulently cooked. Never tasting rubbery or stale like other fish and chipperies around here. Burgers are solid and they sometimes chuck in a free potato cake. Love it! Will definitely be back.

Best In the West. Finally a good Fish and Chip shop! The hamburgers are great, tried the souvlaki we had lamb and it was delish. The serving of minumum of chips is quite big and the chips with chicken salt....yummo. The flake is beautiful, i am a happy camper and I highly recommend this fish and chip shop. The staff are friendly the food is great : They have eftpos as well, bonus!
