Doug's Classic 57 Diner - Alliance

One of my visits to restaurants at Alliance ... the cheese steak sandwich plus bacon, pommes and rootbeer ... during the writing of Christmas cards...

Haven't been here for over a year because of the bad cheese they started putting on their fries. Went here yesterday with the family and it was absolutely delicious again! Glad to see they brought the cheese back! And the rootbeer floats were also very good. We all left happy and full. If this keeps up it will be one of our regular spots again. A year before: (4 stars): Quiet little place that has decent food and service. Most people go here for the nostalgia though. Neat decorations and oldies music. The pizza burgers are good, as is the chili. Lots of other comfort food is good as well. We love sweet tea but we avoid it here. I wish they would bring back the cheese they had for the fries. The new cheese is not as good and we honestly come here less now because it was one of our favorite menu items. Still one of my favorite places even if we don't make it here as often as we used to.

The food is always good and comes out quickly. Servers are polite. Since the building is small, it is easy to get your servers attention when you need it. Never had a bad experience here. I recommend breakfast. I think they serve it all day.

Good food. It's a good place to eat. The frits smeared in cheese and chili are good. The burgers are very good. Pizzaburger should die. Breakfast is cheap and tasty. Very nostalgic! My only complaint is for children's meals. The drink is tiny and you don't get a refill. This is the most foolish thing ever! Doug increase your price to a child's meal by 50 cents or a dollar and give a child a free refill....

Good breakfast here! Extensive menu, needs some time to read, but it must be something for everyone.
