Midland - Alcoa

I had breakfast here yesterday, and it was quite busy. We waited about ten minutes for a table, and the service was excellent. I ordered the early bird special, while my partner had the biscuits and gravy with hash browns. The biscuits and gravy were truly exceptional—almost a religious experience! Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the gravy; it was a dull brown and overly salty, and it came without sausage. It was nothing special, but still edible. On the other hand, my cheese and bacon were very good. I’ve dined here when the previous owners were in charge, and I found the food to be better then. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely return. One notable aspect of this place, besides the fantastic waitstaff, is the great pricing. Breakfast is quite affordable and genuinely tasty. The locals really love this spot, so be prepared for some wait time if you’re planning to come for weekend breakfast. I’d recommend checking out this Maryville Institute.

The best aspect of the chicken was its flavor. The batter, unfortunately, was not crispy. However, the fried squash and country potatoes were excellent. The hamburger patty would have been easier to cut with a steak knife instead of a butter knife, but it was still tasty nonetheless.

In today's world, it's hard to find a meal for $13, but here you get two generous breakfasts for that price. The seating is a bit cramped and the atmosphere isn't anything special, but the food is delicious. And that's what really matters.

Great food, even better. It was initially a little unpleasant, came with a large group that were clearly not locals....but the lateral views were mostly from customers, not from personnel. The experience was immediately reversed by the woman who checked us in and from our incredible server. Our waitress was personal, but very efficient. Maybe she took over half the restaurant. Eating came quite fast for a big party, and again, our server was on everything. Would recommend to everyone to try. I see why they are so popular!

Stop what you’re doing and go eat at this restaurant! We found this little gem while traveling and ordered breakfast food, which is served all day. The portions are plentiful, the food is AMAZING and the cost is so very reasonable. I’m so happy to have found this place! The staff are so friendly, service is perfect and she even wrote down suggested places to visit while here. Great job Midland Restaurant!!!!!
