Magokoro Japanese - Albuquerque

Seems a bit overhyped. Half-hour wait at 5:15pm. Menu seems to have shrunk to just ramen, no curry rice etc. as seen in pictures on Google Maps. Ramen was okay; some novel appetizers. Cabbage salad was good, though salty. Seems overrated overall.

Had the beef short rib donburi and it was delicious! The ribs were perfectly cooked and the sauce was super tasty. Also got potato croquettes as an appetizer which I recommend. They were perfectly fried and had great flavor. To top it off I had some sort of sparkling plum soda which was fantastic. Inside is a little small but the food was worth the wait and all the staff were kind and courteous. Will be back to try more! Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options including potato croquettes and vegetable curry.

Do not skip on that green chile ramen and the cabbage salad. It's very very good! I think the only sucky thing is this place is small so you'll most likely always see a line.
