Chicken burger a must - comes with avocado, Swiss cheese, salad and chips - easily big enough to share. The coffee was delicious strong and smooth. I took another as a takeaway.
Stopped in here for a midday coffee with a friend & business associate. When ordering, we were asked whether we wanted it as a cup or mug. I opted for the mug. But when they were served, both drinks were served in glasses - the mug one was simply a larger size. Bizarre - why call it a mug? If you simply mean a larger size, then call it a large size coffee, not a mug, at least not if you don't serve it as a mug. I expressed surprise to the waitress, and she said they could get a mug if I preferred, but I said not to worry about it - the drink was fine, but I was just expecting it to be served in a mug. But aside from this small issue with poor terminology on their menu, the drink itself was fine - my mocha was served with a small biscuit and two marshmellows, and tasted excellent. Seating is available inside and out. Around lunch hour it can be busy, but there were still a couple of tables for two available inside, despite it being just after midday. Service was quite speedy, no concerns there. Good experience overall, just wish they'd update the terminology of the menu to reflect what they actually give you.
I have been a regular customer at Cosis for more than ten years. I have always enjoyed my food and great cappuccinos. On a sunny day you can dine alfresco and watch the main street of town in all its business. Staff here are friendly and seating is casual, there are several booths if you want more privacy. The BLT and Suvlaki are fantastic. Cosis aims to provide a menu which caters for all tastes. Cosis is open on weekends when most of the other shops and cafes close. It is day time dining, does a great breakfast. No night dining. Once you've been to Cosis you will keep coming back. If you have a sweet tooth, the cakes are fantastic too. Cosis hot chips are the best chips in Albany, I am a chip conniseur.
Visited Albany in March and looked for a place for Breakfast and found this place. It was brimming with people on a Saturday morning and the place was buzzing. I had Eggs Benedict and the sauce was one of the best I have had. It was amazing. The coffee was strong and smooth. Very drinkable. We will be back.
