I wanted to love it the food was fine, the prices are fine, but the wait for the meal was reallllly, really unacceptable. It took a good deal over an hour for our main dish to come, while we sat and twiddled our thumbs, and watched tables come and go around us. A word to the wise: just order starters. Otherwise, you'll be here all freaking night.
I think this is the best Indian in Albany WA. I have been to the other two restaurants in town but they don't compare. I love their butter chicken garlic naan bread but They do have a great variety of appetisers and curries to choose from. They have a great lunch special. $10 for a curry of your choice rice. So filling!
After the whale museum Cheynes tour we went for an early dinner. The food was cook to order so we had mild curries. We were the only patrons in a large dining area. The chicken tandoori was juicy and tender. The prawns saal was flavored spinach. Butter chicken was sweet and mildly spicy. The tandoori bread was tasty and hot. Chicken tika masala was warm and homey. Rice was hot and steamed. Safron rice was yellow fluff. It was a nice end to the day.
This place has to be the best Indian Restaurant outside of Perth easily and may be better. Huge fan of the cuisine and my Indian friends loved plenty to pick from for the vegetarians also
