You are beautiful, and we appreciate you! The young Barista told me, Yes they are compostable, but they do not last that long . Neither does coffee! Lol. A temporary solution for a temporary problem. Now that is thinking. Thank you! Delicious espresso by the way.
Peet's is the best. Starbucks was founded by former Peet's people, they changed the color from brown to green, gave it a meaningless name (peet's is named for the founder, Alfred Peet) and gave the sizes dumb names.
Hand made French toast pourover at 1:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. Mm mm good! Graciously made and served.
I love this Peet's, great service, wonderful people perfect Alameda coffee house!
This is about my experience on Thursday, August 17th 2023 around 9:30AM. TLDR: my double shot iced espresso extra ice tasted burnt like usual. It tasted very rushed if that’s a tasting possibility and I was the only person in store ordering. This is just my first time writing a review about it since this seems to be the only location that has this problem no matter what drink or how I order it. I prefer a different location. There is also no parking because of location. Explanation below.I didn’t think I enjoyed Peet’s coffee/espresso until I began branching out and trying other locations. That being said, this location is my least favorite around Alameda. I’m actually a big fan of their espresso and my drink order is pretty basic which in turn I guess makes it a little easier to mess up on taste. I get a double shot of iced espresso with extra ice. No sweetener and I add my own half and half at the self service station because I don’t like it as milky as a latte, but don’t like it black. I enjoy the taste of espresso, (especially Peet’s in comparison to the blends they have available at the green mermaid across the street), but something about this location just never make the drinks taste the same! The espresso is ALWAYS burnt and acidic tasting. In high school, I thought it was just my ‘simple, inexperienced, young’ taste buds rejecting the espresso taste. After high school my first job was a barista. I learned how to pull shots and instantly could tell the difference. I tried Peet’s again in SF since it was the closest coffee with mobile ordering on the way to work that wasn’t SBUX. It was a world of difference out there I couldn’t believe it was the same chain! The Peet’s with the drive thru across town is the best one in Alameda IMO. They take a while, but the quality of the drinks makes it more worth the wait. Same goes for the one inside Nob Hill, they’re fine.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian food options and vegan milk alternativesKid-friendliness: Family friendly environmentParking: Parking lots from multiple angles and parking garage down the street, but some parking lots and street parking are metered.
